Start with the medical scope you want: protection for eligible new illnesses as well as injuries, rather than a narrower accident-only product. Then include the consultation, testing, treatment and take-home care you consider important. A company’s condition list cannot answer whether every expense along that path is included.
Medication deserves a separate row because a product may make it optional, restrict covered items to a formulary or apply different cost sharing through a preferred pharmacy. Keep routine preventives and therapeutic prescriptions separate. The veterinarian decides the appropriate medicine; the policy and its selections determine insurance treatment.
